THE
WEDEVAG COMPANY
The
Wedevåg name has been associated with precision tools
and machinery since 1538, when Swedish King Gustav Wasa founded
an iron rod mill in the Wedevåg area. Wedevåg soon
became a vital part of the Swedish armament industry, manufacturing
cannon balls since 1631.
|
Wedevåg
continued to develop into a prestigious manufacturer of iron
farm implements and hand tools. In the 17th Century the first
Wedevåg Price List was published, listing over 200 different
products. By the 18th Century, Wedevåg was the largest
commercial metal goods manufacturer in Sweden.
Wedevåg
precision drill bits first appeared in 1906. Today Wedevåg—Sweden’s
largest manufacturer of these tools—is one of Europe’s leading
tool producers.

Wedevåg
is known for a diverse product range that extends far beyond
our famous high performance twist drills. Standard twist drills
are manufactured from 0.25mm to 100.0mm, and we also specialize
in application tools for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including
high-temperature alloys, aluminum and copper. We make parabolic
flutes, conventional helix designs, reamers and are the sole
manufacturer of broaching tools in Scandinavia. Our vast selection
of drill bits includes something for every application.
Wedevåg
tools are prized for their exclusive design that incorporates
a unique relationship between flute design, tool length and
web or core strength. It is this design that enables Wedevåg
tools to produce more accurate holes within tighter tolerances
and a longer tool life than conventional drill bits. Ask for
a sample tool and perform your own test—we guarantee it! |
